Experience

Mr Wilson has over 30 years experience in water treatment working as a chemist and as a chemical engineer to provide solutions to a diversity of potable water, process water and waste water projects. He has considerable expertise in both the physical and chemical treatment of water.

Responsible for the design and build of a variety of industrial waste water streams involving Activated Sludge treatment, Biological Aerated filters, Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) and a variety of effluent screens including self backwashing screens. He has specified a variety of sludge dewatering systems.

While the bulk of his effluent treatment expertise has been in industrial effluent treatment he has a sound knowledge of municipal drinking water and sewage treatment.

Apart from recommending specific treatments he has operated low pressure boiler plant, demineralised water plant, and high pressure boiler plant. He has been involved in the treatment of every size of cooling water system from small towers operating on a system with a circulation rate of a few m3/hr to systems operating with a flow of 20 –30 000 m3 /hr.

Other Activities

Patented the Delta PA process for cooling water treatment

Has also received innovation awards for De Energice –an innovative water treatment for ice rinks, and for an air microbe killer suitable for doctors’ surgeries.
