Heavy Load on Modular Trailer
A 200 tonne package generator was positioned on a modular trailer on a dockside prior to being loaded on a ship for transport overseas. While unattended the generator slid off the trailer causing damage to staff at neighbouring buildings. A subjugated action involving insurance companies was raised.

The work included consideration of the design and operation of a modular trailer for this type of load plus attempting to clarify industry standard practice for this type of incident. Reports were written and submitted and a meeting was held with the claimant's expert.
