Plastic Moulding Personal Injury
An employee at a plastics factory suffered a hand injury in a plastic moulding machine. The Health and Safety Executive raised a criminal prosecution against the employer under the Health and Safety Act.
A senior member of Cadogans staff was appointed as an expert witness for the employer. The work included consideration of the hydraulic and electrical control systems, operation and maintenance of the machinery.
A report was written and submitted and expert evidence was given in Paisley Sheriffs Court. The case against the employer was found to be not proven.
