Chimney Fire Involving Fatalities
A fire, allegedly preceded by an explosion, occurred in a chimney and steeplejacks working on the chimney were killed.
Managers of the organisation which owned the chimney were charged with manslaughter.
A senior member of Cadogans prepared evidence for the Defence and provided strategic advice throughout the trial, including describing the mechanism by which the fire and explosion occurred.
As the trial progressed the Crown dropped the manslaughter charges and accepted pleas for the lesser offences under the Health & Safety at Work Act.
