Multi-fuel Energy Plant
A multi-fuel energy plant was provided within a major turnkey project for a new factory in the Middle East producing medium density fibreboard.
Two boilers were installed burning largely wood waste - bark and sander dust, with heavy oil back-up. The boilers are thermal oil units supplying heat to the process and to a steam generator.
Operating difficulties were experienced relating to boiler output and reliability and production was at risk. Cadogan Consultant’s services resulted in the technical issues being clarified and a programme of improvement works being planned and executed under the contract.
