Selection of Experience:

Power Stations

UK. (Alstom and Ineos) Part of a team investigating a number of issues concerning the design and reliability of three 110 tonne/hr steam boilers. It was claimed that the furnace/burner configuration and superheater design were wrong and that remedial works resulted in a boiler design that was not proven. In addition there were issues concerning whether reliability runs had been completed in compliance with the Contract.

Finland. Part of a team investigating events that may have delayed and disrupted the design and construction of a nuclear power plant. Preparation of evidence for ICC Arbitration in Paris.

Estonia. Part of a team investigating a dispute relating to fuel, boiler operation, corrosion, demineralised water, permits to work, provisional acceptance and turbines of Oil Shale Power Plant.

Turkey. Services in connection with supplying spare parts from Japan to a 1400 MW oil and gas fired power station.

UK. Assisted in the investigation of failure of fume and dust extraction system of 5 MW Coal Fired/CHP.

Health and Safety Investigations

Prohibition Notice Appeal. Assisted in preparing report and advice in relation to a successful prohibition notice appeal concerning a partially enclosed rotating shaft.

Personal Injuries. Assisted in the investigation of numerous fatal accidents and serious personal injuries principally involving mechanical and construction plant and equipment.

Studies

Energy Surveys. Assisted in carrying out energy surveys at commercial and industrial premises.
