Mr Patel has over 20 years of experience in the field of civil engineering including, civil-structural, construction and geotechnical engineering.

He has experience of working on various projects in India and UK. Mr Patel was involved in carrying out structural surveys of distressed structures affected by earthquake, assessment of the quality of concrete, soil investigation as well as soil stabilisation. He also has experience of scrutinising the design and analysis of a variety of building structures.

Mr Patel has assisted senior colleagues in various projects including an on-going multi-billion Euro dispute over the construction of a Nuclear Power Station in Europe. He has also assisted in various health and Safety cases including fatal accident inquiries.

Nuclear Power Station, Europe
Mr Patel has assisted senior colleagues in the process of investigation of the construction dispute. The Principal responsibilities included to review and research various documents and summarise the same.

Various Health and Safety related disputes, UK
Mr Patel has supported senior colleagues in investigation of various projects including fatal accident inquiry, as well as personal injury (slips and trips) related expert witness work. He has also prepared various 2D and 3D CAD models for different cases.

Investigation of Quality of Concrete of Reinforced Concrete Structure, Bharuch, India
Primary duties included to investigate the quality of concrete according to the contractual agreements. Partially destructive testing of the concrete was carried out on various structural elements to identify the various properties of the concrete used in the construction.

Assessment of concrete quality of reinforced concrete bridge piers on an expressway, Ahmedabad, India
Principal responsibilities included identification of the quality of the concrete. A variety of partially destructive and non-destructive test was carried out on the various bridge piers.

Various Investigation of Quality of Concrete of Reinforcement Concrete Structures
Mr Patel has assisted senior principal investigator in carrying out partially destructive and non-destructive testing of the reinforced concrete structures including residential and industrial buildings, elevated water tanks, chimney, check dams and silo.

Scrutiny of Design and Analysis of a range of Building Structures
Main responsibilities included scrutiny of the basic design and analysis of various structural elements for low-rise residential buildings and verification of structural drawings as per relevant national standards.

Survey of various Distressed Structures
Mr Patel assisted the Principal Investigator in carrying out structural surveys of distressed residential building structures affected by earthquake in 2001. He also assisted in identifying the condition of structures as well as the degree of distress in the structures.

Soil Investigation and Soil Stabilisation
Primary duties included carrying out soil investigations. He has also experience in soil stabilisation to improve the engineering properties of the soil by using fly Ash, lime, geo synthetic, geo textiles and geo grid materials.
