Experience
Mr. Crawford has extensive experience of the Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentation Engineering associated with Civil Engineering and Building projects. This includes hospitals in the public and private sectors, public buildings, bridges, motorways, marine works, water supply and wastewater treatment, electrical generation including embedded generation and distribution at high voltage. He also has experience of offshore installations and a range of electrical related disciplines ranging from cathodic protection to telemetry.
He designed the electrics of a large maltings, which pioneered the use of microprocessor control in the industry, and obtained a MAPCON grant for the project, which was selected by DTI as an example to be followed. Other specialities include large variable speed drives, flameproof equipment and electrics associated with explosives manufacturing plant, ship installations and marine works and specialised subjects such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging and associated shielded rooms.
Mr. Crawford has provided many Expert reports covering most of the disciplines detailed above and has experience of investigations of mechanical and electrical failures and of fires.
